Alex Rogers, the founder and CEO of the International Cannabis Business Conference knew that the global cannabis industry was going to advance quickly when he first pulled together his event-planning team in 2014, but even he’s surprised at the rate the movement has expanded. With a humble beginning in Portland, Oregon, before the state became just the third U.S. state to legalize, the ICBC has already established itself as the preeminent cannabis industry event in the world, expanding into San Francisco, Vancouver, Barcelona, Berlin, and Zurich.

An epic 2019 European trek begins today in Barcelona with a superconference team-up with Spannabis. The third Berlin event is up next, from March 31st to April 2nd.

“It is exciting to see legalization taking off across the globe and to play our part in it. Yes, we want to help people create jobs and generate revenue, but, most importantly, we want to help keep people out of prison. When you can legalize more freedom, jobs, and revenue, it’s a good feeling. Having a good time at the same time is just icing on the cake,” said Rogers. “Teaming up with Spannabis in Barcelona and CannaTrade in Zurich while bringing our trademark blend of business, politics, and culture to form the biggest cannabis industry B2B event in Berlin for a third straight year has been extremely rewarding.”

By bringing GRAMMY winner Damian Marley (the youngest son of the legendary Bob Marley) to Barcelona and Dr. Raphael Mechoulam (the Godfather of Cannabis Research) to Berlin as well as a who’s who of top investors, entrepreneurs, and advocates from around the world, the ICBC is putting a big stamp on 2019. With more countries looking to end cannabis prohibition, you can count on the ICBC continuing to make its mark, helping the global momentum for positive reform, nation by nation.
