ICBC Portland Just One Week Away!

This September 27th and 28th, International Cannabis Business Conference is returning to its roots with its first conference back in Portland, Oregon, since the ICBC debuted in the City of Roses in 2014. In four short years, the ICBC has experienced tremendous growth, growing alongside the rest of the cannabis industry. After sold-out events in San Francisco, Vancouver, and Berlin, it is great to come back to where it all started for the ICBC.

While there will be a ton of great information, engaging speakers, and a lot of fantastic networking opportunities, I am most excited about the Mom and Pop Pitch panel. After providing presentations on the main stage, the four finalists will be quizzed by a panel of judges that include the Willamette Week’s Lauren Yoshiko, Lee Henderson of HiFi Farms and co-host of X-Ray FM’s “This is Cannabis” program, and former NBA great Clifford Robinson. After hearing from the finalists, the judges will award one of the businesses $10,000, no strings attached.

Other highlights of the ICBC include a welcome from Oregon State Senator Floyd Prozanksi, a recorded video message from U.S. Senator Jeff Merkley, a talk from actor-musician-activist Jim Belushi, a presentation and Q&A from the OLCC, a “What’s Next for the Oregon Cannabis Industry” panel, CBD industry experts, a cultivation discussion, a testing and terpenes presentation, raising capital conversation, and much, much more. In addition to the top-notch information, the ICBC provided great chances to meet future investors, partners, and vendors with a VIP event on the 27th, an afterparty featuring DJ Muggs of Cypress Hill following the conference program on the 28th, and an exhibition room with more than 40 exhibitors.

The Oregon cannabis industry from a macro level is booming, setting record sales and revenue numbers. Those in the know understand that the overall figures can disguise the difficulty of making a profit in an ultra-competitive, overregulated market. Making connections and following the right trends can make all of the difference. The ICBC can be your ticket to finding the right person or company to work with. If you are in the cannabis industry or are thinking of joining, you will want to be at the International Cannabis Business Conference in Portland. Get your tickets today!
