Pitch Your Cannabis Business at the ICBC Portland
The International Cannabis Business Conference (ICBC) has had a lot of great moments since it began four years ago. The ICBC quickly transformed into the premier B2B global marijuana business event and has seen elected officials from both sides of the aisle, prominent social commentators, pioneering entrepreneurs, and activists grace its stage and networking events from Kauai, Hawaii, to Berlin, Germany.
One of the more exciting events occurred at the recent Vancouver ICBC where Canopy Rivers hosted a “Micro License, Macro Impact Pitch Day” that awarded a small Canadian business the chance to earn up to a million dollars. Inspired by that event, the ICBC is hosting its first “Mom and Pop Pitch Event” allowing Oregon craft cannabis businesses the opportunity to pitch their event to a packed room of investors and fellow entrepreneurs, with one of the businesses walking away with at least $10,000.
While a $10,000 award isn’t a bad day at the office, the chance to pitch your small business on the main stage at the ICBC could very well be much more valuable. A lot of business deals have been started and completed due to the networking opportunities at the ICBC. One of the biggest ICBC success stories is Bud.com, which started as an idea sprung up by founder Justin Hall at an ICBC (we’ll do a profile soon to give the entire story) and the company is now a major California licensed cannabis delivery business.
