Pitch Your Cannabis Business at the ICBC Portland

The International Cannabis Business Conference (ICBC) has had a lot of great moments since it began four years ago. The ICBC quickly transformed into the premier B2B global marijuana business event and has seen elected officials from both sides of the aisle, prominent social commentators, pioneering entrepreneurs, and activists grace its stage and networking events from Kauai, Hawaii, to Berlin, Germany.

One of the more exciting events occurred at the recent Vancouver ICBC where Canopy Rivers hosted a “Micro License, Macro Impact Pitch Day” that awarded a small Canadian business the chance to earn up to a million dollars. Inspired by that event, the ICBC is hosting its first “Mom and Pop Pitch Event” allowing Oregon craft cannabis businesses the opportunity to pitch their event to a packed room of investors and fellow entrepreneurs, with one of the businesses walking away with at least $10,000.

While a $10,000 award isn’t a bad day at the office, the chance to pitch your small business on the main stage at the ICBC could very well be much more valuable. A lot of business deals have been started and completed due to the networking opportunities at the ICBC. One of the biggest ICBC success stories is Bud.com, which started as an idea sprung up by founder Justin Hall at an ICBC (we’ll do a profile soon to give the entire story) and the company is now a major California licensed cannabis delivery business.

If you are a cannabis business with majority ownership and control by an Oregonian or Oregonians, please sign up for the ICBC Mom and Pop Pitch Event. The online application is short and simple and the first-place reward will be at least $10,000, or even more-you may find the right investor, business partner, or vendor that can help you take your business to the next level. Applications will be accepted until September 17th and the finalists will be notified by September 19th. Please see the Mom and Pop Pitch Event page for more details and spread the word to any OLCC-licensed cannabis business that you think should pitch their company at the Portland ICBC on September 28th.

Don’t miss the opportunity to learn the latest and network with the top cannabis industry professionals from around the world. Get your tickets by September 12th to save $200 for the Portland ICBC that kicks off with a VIP party on the 27th, before a full program schedule and exclusive after-party on the 28th.
