ICBC Portland Early Bird Tickets End Wednesday, Sept. 12th

The International Cannabis Business Conference (ICBC) is returning to Portland, Oregon, this September 27th-28th, at the Hilton Downtown, and you can still purchase “early bird” tickets, but time is running out as you have through September 12th to save $200 on the marijuana business-to-business (B2B) event of the year. Once the clock strikes midnight, turning the page to September 13th, the early bird sale ends.

Following sold-out conferences in Vancouver, Berlin, and San Francisco, the ICBC is returning to the site of its inaugural event, held in 2014, just before Oregon became the third state to pass a legalization law. The movement has progressed rapidly as now 8 states have legalized cannabis, as well as Washington, D.C., with Canada set to implement cannabis commerce across the Great White North on October 17th. Many nations including European Union powerhouse Germany have moved forward with progressive medical laws.

The ICBC returns to Portland at a time when the federal momentum to end prohibition has dramatically picked up, a great opportunity for the Oregon industry to thrive, and creating potential solutions to the issues facing marijuana businesses, such as the unfair tax code, lack of banking access, and the inability to conduct commerce across state lines. Oregon State Senator Floyd Prozanski, who has led the legislative effort to implement sensible cannabis and hemp laws will kick off the conference, just ahead of a welcoming message from Senator Jeff Merkley, who is leading the fight to pass common-sense legislation at the federal level.

Following Sen. Merkley’s message, attendees will hear from the top cannabis regulators with the Oregon Liquor Control Commission (OLCC), including director Steve Marks. The OLCC panel will give folks the opportunity to have their questions answered directly from those implementing and enforcing state regulations. Following the OLCC, the panels will focus on what’s next in Oregon (cannabis cafes, export, etc), sold business practices, hemp & CBD, strategic partnerships, cultivation & testing, terpenes, and raising capital.

A major highlight of the ICBC this year is the Mom and Pop Pitch Event where four to five local craft cannabis businesses will have the opportunity to pitch their business on the main stage in front of a room filled with investors and entrepreneurs, with one company walking away with a $10,000 award, with no strings attached.
